Brief history of Buttermilk Falls Pediatrics, as written by Dr. Roger Perry: Shortly after World War II, Drs. Davis and Kingsley joined forces in an office on E. State Street in Ithaca. In the mid-50's, Dr. Davis moved his office to S. Albany Street and was joined in 1960 by Dr. Roger Perry. Dr. L. Anthony Speno joined in 1963, creating the nucleus of Buttermilk Falls Pediatrics.

Many physicians have blessed us over the years, including but certainly not limited to John Lambert, who brought his Pediatric Gastroenterology expertise until his May 2020 retirement.

In 2021, another significant change occurred when multiple providers stepped away from the long-standing practice of Buttermilk Falls Pediatrics. Pediatrician, Amit Shrivastava, MD, has continued to provide the level of care trusted by generations, joined in 2022 by Kimberly Welch, MSN PNP, who brings years of newborn and lactation experience to our historic practice.

December of 2024 saw the addition of Wali M. Ahmadzai, Physician Assistant. 'Doctor' Wali brings many years of experience as a physician in his native Afghanistan, completing his M.D. Degree in 2002.  Wali graduated with honors from the LeMoyne College PA Program in 2024. He speaks English, as well as Pashto, Dari, Farsi, and Urdu.
